Photo Archive Reference Guide
How to Use the Photo Archive Keyword Index
- The Keyword Index lists photographs according to location, subject, event, etc., as well as by concept and theme (i.e. "economic development). Search the alphabetical Index for keywords that can help you find the picture you want.
- Click on a keyword to bring up a page of corresponding thumbnail images. Each thumbnail provides a link to a medium resolution version of the image in which more details are visible.
- High resolution digital images are available to Frontier School Division teachers, students, and community members on CD at cost (shipping & materials) by request from the Social Studies/Native Studies Department. Call (204) 775-9741 or email the Department for more information. For those outside of Frontier School Division, including non-Manitoba residents and website visitors from outside of Canada, we recommend that you contact Library & Archives Canada in Ottawa, Ontario for more information on ordering reproductions of the images featured in this guide.
- All of the images in the Frontier School Division Photo Archive are in the Public Domain, meaning that copyright has expired. However, those using images (e.g. in a PowerPoint classroom presentation or in a printed assignment) are expected to properly credit their source. Please credit the FSD Photo Archive and provide barcode numbers for the benefit of other researchers.
