Frontier Families

Researched by Frontier School Division

Information on the aboriginal families of Northern Manitoba is organised alphabetically either by family name or by the name of the founder of the family. Some documents will be fully documented family histories (marked with an asterisk), while others will be chronological lists of data collected so far on a particular family. If you have information on any of these families or want to provide data on a new family, please contact us, as we are more than happy to add new data to this website.

The families on which we have uploaded data are listed below. Just click on the name and it will link you to the information.

*Curlyhead (Uchegun), Charles

*Muchikekwanape, Frederic

Nabaise, Mark or John

Note: Some of the above webpages feature Cree Syllabics. For proper viewing of these pages, you must install the Maagonigan font (more information).
