Turner was wounded 2 June 1916 and struck off strength, 7 June 1916. Pte. A. J. Turner, Reg. No. 1733, is another possibility, but Pte. F. W. Turner, Reg. No. 51031, is less likely because he was wounded 15 September 1916.
