Gibson, James Dick, Toronto, Ontario, originally of Argyleshire, Scotland. Occupation: merchant. Military Service: Pte., Reg. No. 487309, 5th University Co., PPCLI, Attestation Papers. Possible Diary Reference: “Gibson, [C. J. D.] McGahey and myself appointed to rations guard at Neuville St. Vaast,” 4:8 Nov ’16. According to Hodder-Williams, 183, Pte. J. D. Gibson joined the PPCLI in the field on 9 June 1916 and was killed at Vimy Ridge on 9 April 1917.
