Lt James Everett Pike

Pike, James Everett, enlisted at Laurenceton, Newfoundland, originally of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Occupation: farmer. Military Service: Lieutenant, McGill 105, 3rd University Co., PPCLI, Attestation Papers. Diary Reference: “Further names I remember as having been killed are Lt. [J.E.] Pike,” 5:1 Nov ’17. According to Hodder-Williams, 87, Pike was wounded 30 October 1917 and struck off strength on 13 November 1917. He is not referenced by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission; therefore, it appears that Frank was mistaken.
