Dickson, James John, Calgary, Alberta. Occupation: Livery Man. Military Service: Private, Reg. No. 447060, 56th Bn., PPCLI. Attestation Papers. Diary Reference: “Met Jack Dickson who was visiting [C.H.] LeGallais and [H.C.] Shummerly [Schermuly],” 4:31 Dec ’16. Pte. J. J. Dickson joined the PPCLI at about the same time as Pte. H. C. Schermuly and C. H. Le Gallais. According to Hodder-Williams, 159, Pte. Dickson was wounded 9 April 1917 and struck off strength 12 April 1917.
