Simmons, William E, Timmons, Ontario. Military Service: Sergeant, 1st Hussar, 6th Canadian Armoured Regiment, executed after capture on 11 June 1944 at the headquarters in Le Mesnil-Patry of the 2nd Panzer Grenadier Battalion commanded by Major Bernhard Siebken, of the 26th Panzer Regiment, commanded by SS Lieutenant Colonel Wilhelm Mohnke, of the 12th SS Panzer Division, “Hitler Youth”.
