Povol, Ervin. Military Service: Corporal, Regina Rifles Regiment, “apparently found wounded” and killed with “a single pistol shot through the forehead” on 9 June 1944 near Bretteville l’Orgueilleuse, by an SS officer of the 12th SS Panzer Division, “Hitler Youth” (either from the 25th Panzer Grenadier Regiment, commanded by Kurt Meyer, or from the 12th Panzer Regiment, commanded by Max Wünsche).
