Nichol, William, Amherst, Nova Scotia. Military Service: Private, North Nova Scotia Highlanders, bludgeoned to death on 7 June 1944 at Authie in spontaneous battlefield vengeance by an SS trooper, 9th Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Panzer Regiment, 12th SS Panzer Division, “Hitler Youth”, commanded of Colonel Karl-Heinz Milius.
