McKinnon, William Lewis, St. Peters, Prince Edward Island. Military Service: Corporal, North Nova Scotia Highlanders, shot to death on 7 June 1944 at road between Buron and Authie in spontaneous battlefield vengeance by an SS trooper, 11th. Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Panzer Regiment, 12th SS Panzer Division, “Hitler Youth”, commanded of Colonel Karl-Heinz Milius.
