McKeil, Hollis L., Truro, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia. Military Service: Private, B Company, North Nova Scotia Highlanders, served in Normandy, shot in the head on 7 June 1944 at the Abbaye d’Ardenne, probably by order of SS Colonel Kurt Meyer, Commander, 25th Panzer Grenadier Regiment, 12th SS Division, “Hitler Youth”.
