Gill, George Vincent, Brockville, Ontario. Military Service: Trooper, 27th Canadian Armoured Regiment (Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment), served in Normandy. Reg. No. C/38307. Bludgeoned to death on 7 June 1944 at the Abbaye d’Ardenne, probably by order of SS Colonel Kurt Meyer, Commander, 25th Panzer Grenadier Regiment, 12th SS Division, “Hitler Youth”.
