“Bud” Boyd Returns
Bud was one of the large number of M.A.C. boys who joined up with the 196th University Battalion. After several months’ training at Camp Hughes he went overseas with his unit. But was in England for 18 months and, in order to get into action as soon as he could, he transferred to the 1st C.M.R.s. He was wounded in August, 1918, and invalided to England, where he was when hostilities ceased.
Bud returned home three weeks ago. He did not let much time slip by before coming to see us. We were more than glad to once again see his cheerful smile and to grasp his hand in fellowship.
Bud was a member of the ’19 class and was prominent in all lines of sport. We trust very much he will see his way to continue his studies here next winter. The M.A.C. can ill afford to lose men like Bud. We need him and he needs us.
