Thompson, Mr. E. A., Demonstrator, Chemistry Department (1913-1914)
Mr. E. A. Thompson was born near Chesby, Ontario, but came west with his parent in the 1890s and settled near Birtle, Manitoba, where he received his early education. In 1904, he entered Brandon College and obtained a Grade A diploma in the Commercial Department, then taught in Saskatchewan and the Wheat City Business College in Brandon. In 1908, he enrolled in Practical Science at Queen’s University, where he specialised in Chemistry and Geology, preparation which gave him the qualifications to work as a demonstrator in the Chemistry Department in the fall of 1913.
