Willard G. McLellan

McLellan, Willard G., Montreal, Quebec, formerly of Vancouver, British Columbia. Occupation: student, McGill University. Military Service: Private, Reg. No. A11036, 1st University Co., PPCLI, Attestation Papers. Diary Reference: Note reference, ‘slightly wounded,” 2:11 Oct ’15. McLellan was struck off strength 16 October 1915. Although Frank made no reference on October 11 to either Willard McLellan or Earle M. Philips, who were both wounded that day, Frank did mention Philips on October 13, undoubtedly because he knew him through the 2nd University Company. Frank may not have been personally acquainted with Willard McLellan, but he undoubtedly heard that he had been hit. Hodder-Williams, 256, adds that Pte. W. G. McLellan was wounded 11 October 1915 and struck off strength 16 October 1915.
