He has a commission but lacks an appointment yet; is a storekeeper. Should say he was a fine fellow,” 1:28 Jun ’15; “Learned that Angus [Alexander] McDonald was killed along with Lieut. Haggerty [Hagarty].,” 2:2 Jun ’16.
