Johnstone, George Blanchard, Nelson, British Columbia, formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Occupation: electrician. Military Service: Lance Corporal, Reg. No. McGill 44, 2nd University Co., PPCLI, Attestation Papers. Diary Reference: “The man killed, I learned later was G. B. Johnston [Johnstone] of our University company. I don’t remember meeting him,” 2:13 Oct ’15. According to Hodder-Williams, 219, L/Cpl. Johnstone was killed at Frise on 12 October 1915.
