Diary Reference: “Went out to Cartiersville with [V.S.] Ferguson and [C.W.] Hooper,” 1:20 Jun ’15. According to Hodder-Williams, 208, Cpl. Hooper was wounded 12 May 1916 and again on 2 June 1916. He was struck off strength on 5 April 1918 and later became a lieutenant in the R.A.F.
