John William Gibson

 

Gibson, John William, enlisted at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, originally of Darlington, Durham, England. Occupation: student. Military Service: Private, Sergeant, Reg. No. 475860, 3rd University Co., PPCLI, Attestation Papers. Possible Diary Reference: “Gibson, [C. J. D.] McGahey and myself appointed to rations guard at Neuville St. Vaast,” 4:8 Nov ’16. According to Hodder-Williams, 183, J. W. Gibson joined the PPCLI in the field on 6 Dec. 1915. He was wounded 26 Aug. 1918, but survived the war.
