Howie, Albert, Ottawa, Ontario. Occupation: Railroader. Military Service: Private, 207th Bn. transferred to PPCLI. Attestation Papers. Diary Reference: “This morning Mr. [Lt. Ian Laughlin] McKinnon [MacKinnon] was killed by a sniper also a man named [A.] Howey [Howie],” 6:27 Aug ’18. Hodder-Williams, 210, added that Pte. Howie was killed near Monchy on 27 August 1918.
