Fred Williams

 

Williams, Fred, Cornwall. Military Service: Lieutenant, D Company, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry Highlanders Regiment, served in Normandy, shot in the head on 17 June 1944 by unidentified SS men at the Abbaye d’Ardenne, headquarters of the 25th Panzer Grenadier Regiment, commanded on that date either by SS Colonel Kurt Meyer or SS Lieutenant Colonel Karl-Heinz Milius, of the 12th SS Division, “Hitler Youth”.
